Accommodation with artistic flair

Four years of hard work, and our dream has finally come true. We’re incredibly proud of our B&B. Since “Goeiemorgen” is located in the heart of Ghent’s artists’ quarter, we thought it only fitting to ask four artists – friends of ours – to come up with site-specific works, offering a one-of-a-kind experience for our guests. We gave them complete freedom to interpret the space as they pleased. A nerve-wracking experience for us, but we’re happy to report that we’re delighted with the end result. Now you, too, can enjoy a refreshing night’s sleep surrounded by original artwork.

• Comic strip artist Serge Baeken brought the staircase to life with his curious tales in black and white.
• Photographer Christophe Vander Eeckentransformed the common toilet into a place of visual interest by papering the walls with thousands of contact prints.
• Graphic designer Marnix Everaert added a touch of sophistication to the guest rooms with his day and night-themed creations.
• Painter Hemadi put his own unique stamp on the lounge, giving it an open, airy sense of space.
